Goodbye to 2019- A year that seen more of the worst of us as citizens of the USA. There were shootings that didn’t make sense, the immigrants that were housed in cages-(finally exposed), the senseless meaning of being an American in this country. Yes the year chugged on, and now we see some kind of link between the Russians and Americans in American politics. Name calling and sexual mishaps exposed. I could go on and on, but let’s see what was positive for the year of 2019. Take a look at this link.
Will we ever see our human race start looking out for each other? Will we ever put down our differences and go toward the common good of the planet? Rhetorical questions that can’t be answered now, but only through the actions of what we do that can be displayed in a positive sense. Looking at the American-Russian connection, only a few years ago, it would have appeared as though the two countries were arch enemies, but yet something has happened that the far right folks are okay with the Russian connection into our politics. More to be told during the impeachment process, should Congress ever release the articles to the senate. Does any of this make sense. Prices of goods continue to rise, as well as the homelessness continue to get more and more out of control. Tents on the sidewalks, almost every store you go into the panhandlers are more and more prevalent. Is this the country that we use to talk about when we say, “land of the free and home of the brave”? Conversations have resorted to just a few keyed letters into a phone. without proper communication skills that we were once taught in our schools that no longer seem to apply. Our scientist have told us that we have to change our ways, or else our children, and their offspring will have little to look for in the future when it comes to our planet supporting our life. What’s in store for 2020? Do you know?
Drama seems to be the attention grabber of the day. The news cycle has been instrumental in keeping the crap going, not reporting on items that are real human nature compassion stories. Old news was that they told you what was happening and that was it. Now they tell you what is happening, and have experts communicate their opinions on matters to stop us all from having the free thought that we need to decide what is right and what is wrong. The news cycle tells you that now. Thank God, that the Sports world, is out there. You see accomplishment and the heart of champions out there trying to be the best they can be in their sports discipline. 2020 should be an interesting year, and we should have fun looking forward to the Olympics.
Now to go on about politics; will we see people who don’t like either candidate in the November elections do what they did last time and not show up at all at the polls? It’s our democracy and it is a game you have to play in and not sit the sidelines as it will effect you one way or another. It would be great to see a better turnout than what we seen during the 2016 elections. It would be a true testimony of what the country truly believes in. Exercise your right to vote!
