Kansas City wins Superbowl. This was a pretty good Superbowl game, as the Chiefs closed the books on the 49ers late in the 4th quarter 31-20. The 49ers were in a good position walking into the 4th quarter with a 20-10 lead. Most Chiefs fans probably had the sinking feeling at that time, and even after Mahomes had thrown his second interception, it really appeared as though the 49ers were in total control. The Chiefs caught a break when Mahomes hit Hill for a 44 yd pass play to get them into scoring position. At 6:13 left in the 4th Mahomes hits Travis Kelce for a 1 yard TD. This was the start of the Chiefs running 21 unanswered pts. in the 4th to win Superbowl LIV. Congratulations going out to Andy Reid winning his 1st Superbowl and MVP winner Patrick Mahomes. Andy Reid, previously coached in Philadelphia for 14 years, came close in 2004 meeting in the Superbowl against the New England Patriots, but lost that game 24-21. His redemption to win the big game came today. Patrick Mahomes; only a few years ago was on the bench. He replaced Alex Smith for one game and was instrumental in winning a game against the Bronco’s 27-24. In 2018 he started his full year and got close last year but lost to the Patriots in the AFC Championship game. Mahomes lit it up this season despite a knee injury that took him out of action for a few games. Kansas City’s telling moment in the playoffs, was the divisional game they played against the Texans; where the Texans had an early 24-0 lead, but came back furiously to win the game 51-31.

The 49ers played well through 3 quarters, as Jimmy Garoppolo was able to move the ball up and down the field through passing and key running plays. Garoppolo passed for 219 yds with 1 touchdown pass to Kyle Juszczyk  and threw 2 interceptions.  Unfortunately this wasn’t enough as the Chiefs ended up overcoming a double digit lead to win. This was a pretty evenly match game when you look at the stats with the one exception that Kansas City held the ball for 33 minutes vs. the 26 minutes the 49ers had the ball.

Well; this is the end of the season, and right now you die hard football fans are sad at this point. We won’t see the NFL start up until August 2020, meanwhile we do have the NFL combine coming up.
