NFL 2020 CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES-Sunday came and gone, and we had some blowout games. It appeared as though only 2 teams showed up Sunday. One, the Tennessee Titans who we expected to hold the ball with the spectacular play that we had seen out of Derrick Henry over the last two playoff games got calmed down as the Kansas City Chiefs put together good offense that ended the Titans climb to the Superbowl game. Kansas City total yards; 404 to the Titans 295. The Titans didn’t look bad, they just didn’t have the juice to beat the Chiefs in this one. Mahomes threw for 294 yards including 3 touchdowns and scored on a magnificent run himself to score,  to take out the Titans  35-24.  The Chiefs managed to keep Derrick Henry at bay with only 69 rushing yards. This was Andy Reid’s 2nd time entering the Superbowl arena in the last 16 years, and Kansas City 1st appearance since 1970 going to the big game. Just on point the Chiefs outing today was strong and with the home crowd behind them, the Chief’s confidence was easily shown in the 4th quarter as they outscored the Titans 14-7 to win the game. NFL 2020 CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES- There was a lot of anticipation to see the Packers go into Levi and win a game here, but the Packers must have forgot what time the game started. I remembered at one point that the 49ers had a 27 point lead on the Packers as they hadn’t even scored yet.  When teams play these games, teams can’t afford to get this far behind. It demoralizes you especially if you are on the road, you fight the crowd noise and the disparaging feeling that you get when you are down big. Listening to Aaron Rodgers after the game just confirmed the feeling these guys must have had during the game. The game in itself was disappointing, but the best team did win and now the 49ers are off to Sunny Florida with a date with the Kansas City Chiefs. The final score to this game was 49ers. 37-20.

The Superbowl is set and Kansas City was expected to be there prior to the start of the season. San Francisco wasn’t expected to be there prior to the season start but had a magnificent season that catapulted them into the big game. Both teams have great offenses, and adequate defense, although on this day the San Francisco 49ers had the better defense today with 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recover and 3 sacks. The Vegas gang have the Chiefs as a 1 point favorites and this will be going back and forth depending on the betting until the game starts.  The hero’s of the day seem to be Patrick Mahomes, and Raheem Mostert. Raheem Mostert was a monster today as he ran for 220 yards, and had 4 touchdown; basically beating the Packers with his own production. How about the shut down corner man today for the 49ers; yes you know him as Richard Sherman got a interception late in the game to seal the victory.
