We are less than 4 days away from the NFL draft and it looks to be a very intriguing event that will be different from all previous draft days as it will be held without the normal fanfare that we are use to seeing. The draft will be basically held in a studio setting.  This will be a challenging draft, as you know, because lines of communications between teams will not be so open. You have to remember now that teams will be in different locations, and to do deals on the run, it will be logistically a little harder to get them done.

Regardless it appears as though the top 5 picks center among, Joe Burrow Quarterback from LSU, Chase Young Defensive Lineman from Ohio State, Derrick Brown Defensive Lineman from Auburn, Isiah Simmons Linebacker from Clemson, and Tua Tagovaila Quarterback from Alabama.

In this time of emergency with the ongoing fight with Covid-19, the sports world continues to try to get these annual events done, because it is true life still goes on regardless.  We can only hope that the situation improves in a hurry.

The Quarterback positions in the top 5 picks, Tua and Joe will be interesting. Mock drafts around the sports world seem to indicate that Burrow will go to the Bengals, and Tagovaila will end up with the Dolphins; two teams that could use some help pretty quick at those positions. Readers; what do you think? Who is the better of these two? Which team between the Bengals and the Dolphins would benefit immediately? The Bengals had a whopping 2-14 record last season.  Andy Dalton is the current QB for the Bengals 16 touchdowns, 14 interceptions, and a 40.1 QBR won’t do it for any NFL team. His last great years were back during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Probably a time for a change.  You be the judge.  Then you have the Dolphins who labored along last season between Josh Rosen, and Ryan Fitzpatrick, not to mention the fact that their,”door matting”, at the beginning of the season with a 0-7 start. Miami did manage to finish up 5-4 capping off a win in Foxboro during the end of the season. Both teams need more than QB’s, but all in all, if you can get a QB in the draft rated high, they both need to go after them.
