NBA Play-In New Innovation for the NBA

NBA Play-In appears to be going well so far. The teams that were in 7th place in each division will be proceeding on to the playoffs. We still have the 8th place teams that need to be placed. Watching these games, we have seen at least 2 barn burner games so far. Those games were the Grizzlies, and the Spurs and the Lakers and the Warriors. Watching the action between teams during the last of the season, there were some great basketball games. The NBA Play-In may be the way to go. This format may work. You figure that you will do all you can to protect your status as a seventh place team in the playoffs, as well as the opportunity for a 8th place team or a 9th and 10th place team to move up.

Up coming games are the Wizards, and the Pacers. The Pacers are really depleted, but when they played the Hornets, they really dominated the game. Then we have the Wizards, who I really had expected to dominate the Celtics, but that was woefully proven wrong, as Jason Tatum put a 50 piece on them. Westbrook, just did not look like himself, as a matter of fact, it appeared as though it was somebody we weren’t use to seeing. The Wizards will be hosting the Pacers and I would expect that the Wizards would make up for the, “lack of interest”, play in Boston, by taking it to the Pacers in Washington. We shall see.

Then we have the Warriors, and the Grizzlies. The Warriors, are a talented young team, and most of all the main factor is Steph Curry, who I would fully expect for them to turn a win at home with the Grizzlies, but those Grizzlies are tough, with the likes of Valancinuas who had 23pts, 23 rebounds against the Spurs. Watching that game, I really expected for Pop to really pull this one out with his roster, but that didn’t happen. The Grizzlies, seem to have a lot more weapons than the Warriors, but the Warriors are battled tested.
