NFL 2019 Week 11-Who woke up the Falcons?

NFL 2019 Week 11

NFL 2019 Week 11/// Let’s face it, football can be a violent sport. Players taking vicious hits on the field. Yes you see this every time you see a NFL football game.  Last Thursday was no exception as Pittsburg took on Cleveland. Going into this game Cleveland wanted to make a statement by winning this game, after the beat the Bills the previous week. Early predictions prior to the season starting was that Cleveland was going to make the playoff’s, and many folks jumped on that bandwagon. NFL 2019 Week 11—Cleveland has it woes as it was not living up to the stature that the experts were predicting. This was a great game for Cleveland as they were about to win their 2nd game in a row until an assault happened on the field. As you would all know that in the last few moments of the game, Myles Garrett sacked Pitt’s QB   Mason Rudolph, but something happened on the ground and all of a sudden both players were scuffling between each other. Garrett took off Rudolph’s helmet in the melee and then proceeded to hit him in the head with it. The scuffling got a flag thrown, but once Garrett took a swing at Rudolph’s head his season was over. Some folks will feel that the punishment that Garrett received was not harsh enough, some will tell you that it is too much. Garrett is gone for the rest of the season.  Just when you think that the Browns can turn it around, this happens.  We can only be thankful that Rudolph was not seriously injured. In some most places they call this assault! The Browns will face the Dolphins next week, and should win this game, but you never know, especially after situations like this. As most would agree there is no place for this type of behavior in the game.

The Falcons woke up last week when they took it to the Saints. This week it continued, as their defense and offense was clicking on all cylinders when they beat the Panthers 29-3. The Falcons have won 3 games so far, and are 3-7, probably out of the playoffs, but look for the Falcons to continue their winning ways. Well it would be a story of the season if they could finish out 9-7. They would have either spoiled some other teams chances, and by stroke of luck make the playoffs. I am laughing out loud, but there could always be that possibility. Let’s keep an eye on these guys. They play the Buccaneers next week. The Dallas Cowboys came through with a good win against the Lions in Detroit. Dak Prescott has a great game throwing for 444 yds and 3 TD’s. Disappointing though was the fact that the rushing game only amounted to 75 yards. They got Ezekiel Elliot, and this was all they could muster up. Cowboys will have to learn to mix this up a little bit more if they are to be successful. Cowboys lead the NFC East over Philadelphia by a game, and will meet up with the Patriots next week in Foxboro. New England continues to win despite their lack of offense as they beat on Philadelphia 17-10. Philly started out with a 10-0 lead, but after Lane Johnson was injured, the game went south for Philadelphia. Look for Philadelphia to try to come back next week against the hot Seattle Seahawks. This was a game that was slated to Sunday night, but was moved to an early game. Philadelphia, still has issues with injuries, guys dropping passes, and a beat up offensive line that needs some refreshing.

The game that was exciting was to see the Ravens take out the Texans, with Lamar Jackson single handed destroy the Ravens. Jackson had a QB rating in that game of 150. The Ravens defense held the Texans to 7 points in the game. Final Score 41-7. Ravens will meet up with the Rams in Los Angeles next week on Monday night football. The Rams rebounded with a win this week against the Bears. So this game with all the major spotlight on it will be a thrilling game. The Texans will play the Colts on Thursday night football. Both teams are tied for the lead in that division. This will be a great Thursday night game to watch. The New Orleans Saints recovered from that Falcon funk last week and won against the Tampa Bay Buc’s 34-17. The Saints will take on the Panthers next week in Nola; with a record of 8-2 you should think they should have a easy time with the Panthers. You never know.  The Vikings played only one half on Sunday, yes it looked like it because the Bronco’s had hopped all over them in the 1st half. At one point in the game the Broncos had a 23-7 lead. The Vikings got fired up in the 4th and scored 20 to end up winning 27-23. Did the Vikings show that they can come back, or was it that they only wanted to play one half of the game as the Broncos are the Bronco’s. The Vikings get a bye week next week, so it will be interesting to see them play the Seahawks on Dec 2 in Seattle; a Monday night game. The 49ers played a wild game as expected against the Arizona Cardinals. This was a back and forth affair, but he 49ers won 36-26 outscoring the Cardinals in the 4th 19-7. The 49ers will meet up with the Packers next Sunday night; this is where we see how the Packers fair coming off a bye in San Fran.
