NFL 2019 Week 13 seems to be a wild week especially with the Thanksgiving games. Detroit draws the Thanksgiving games annually; and their record is 37-40-2. It was a pretty competitive game but unfortunately the Lions came up short and lost to the Bears. 24-20. Mitchell Trubisky threw for 3 touchdowns, with 1 interception. He had a QB rating of 127. He had a great game. This was an improvement on his performance over the past few games. The Bears will be facing the Cowboys this coming Thursday night. This will be interesting, especially since the Cowboys dropped one to the Buffalo Bills at home. The Cowboys continue to have problems with winning teams. They also had a problem with the New York Jets, but that another story. The Cowboys are in 1st place in the NFC East, but seemed to not rise to the occasion to extend their lead over the Philadelphia Eagles; oh who by the way dropped a game to the lowly Miami Dolphins. Teams playing Miami, were just about going into games knowing this was a win. Not Philadelphia. The Eagles who have dropped their last 2 games prior to this contest had held teams such as New England Patriots, and Seattle Seahawks to 17 pt scoring. Sunday, the Eagles dropped this one to the Dolphins 37-31. Eagles had a 28-14 lead early 3rd quarter, then Miami erupted scoring 3 td’s and a field goal to get the win. Between the Eagles, and the Cowboys it appears as though neither one of them wants to win the East. That’s damn sad! Eagles will meet up with the Giants next week in Philadelphia, hopefully they can turn it around for that game. At this point they will need to win out in order to win the NFC East. check out this play I seen this play at a high school game, and it didn’t work, but it worked against the Eagles. Seattle finished out the week with a great game with the Vikings, by winning 37-30. The Seahawks now have the number one seed in the NFC, as the Ravens have the number one seed in the AFC. This would be a great match up should these two meet in the Superbowl.
We continue on with and want to congratulate the Cincinnati Bengals as they were able to win against the New York Jets 22-6. A growing trend in the league is that quarterback play has not been great for a lot of the teams. In this one Dalton had a QBR of 94.0. decent but nothing to write home to mom about, and Darnold had a rating of 75- not good at all. Both of these teams are out of the hunt for the playoffs, so they can now become spoilers of the league, just what Miami did to Philadelphia.
