NFL 2019 Week 8

NFL 2019 Week 8- I will start off this blog with this link to follow for scores and highlights for this week.  Washington D.C. although in turmoil was happy to see the likes of the Nationals take on the Astros and win the 1st 2 games only to loose all 3 games in Washington; the series goes back to Houston, as the Astros only need one game to repeat the World Series accomplishment. Meanwhile the NFL Washington Redskins took on another loss, and this time to the Vikings. Click the link for Shopping Opportunities!

The season is half way done now, and we have been giving somewhat of a overview of the past weeks games. We will now focus more on the teams that have a legitimate shot at getting into the playoffs, and that will start with the New England Patriots, who continue to win, as they beat the Cleveland Browns in inclement weather 27-13. There is not very much that you can say negative about the New England Patriots as they are the, “the cream of the crop”.  Then we have the undefeated San Francisco 49ers that took on a hot Carolina Panther team and totally destroyed them in San Francisco 51-13.  Naturally you will still have some trepidation about this 49er team as they have been somewhat of a surprise this year, and you wonder when the bottom is going to fall out. As it stands the 49er team hadn’t seem the playoffs in the last 6 years. (last appearance in 2013). On the bright side they seem to be for real, and we continue to watch each week to see this team’s performance. They have not missed a beat as they are now 7-0 and have only allowed 77pts; i.e. only about a little over 10pts a game have been allowed. The 49ers still have some great teams to meet up with such as: Saints, Seahawks, Packers, and the Rams again. Sounds like to me if they get the best record in the NFC, they will more than likely go to the Superbowl, only time will tell. How about that Aaron Rodgers and the Packers? Sounds like some band or something. ha ha. These Packers have been playing with precision since that Philly loss. They beat the Kansas City Chiefs tonight 31-24 in Kansas City. Poor Kansas city, they have only won 1 game at home and that was against the Ravens. Kansas City is perplexing, but they still hold 1st place in the AFC West. The Seahawks looked as though they were going to put a hurting on the Falcons, but the final score didn’t seem to indicate it as the Seahawks won 27-20. The Seahawks hopped all over the Falcons 24-0 in the 1st half of the game.

Monday nights game will pit the Steelers vs. the Dolphins in Pittsburg. The Steelers should win this game, but you never know. Looking at Pittsburg’s record right now at 2-4 would seem to indicate that this team will not be there at the end, but this team is coached by Mike Tomlin and they are in 2nd place in that division behind the Ravens and if they win tommorow, they will be 2 games behind the Ravens. Lots of hopes and dreams, but you never know. Check out the lestalksports.com site leave opinion or comment.  Listed below are the results of this weekends scores:
