NFL Week 17

NFL Week 17–What a season! The last of the NFL 2019 season has gone by, and the intrigue will begin next week with the playoff’s beginning. Looking at what transpired during the season you would have never guessed that the 49ers would be the number one seed in the NFC. How about the Antonio Brown affair, where he started out with the Raiders, went to the Patriots and then out the league. Then there was Le’Veon  Bell who ended up with the Jets and really was just average compared to what we had seen in the past with the Steelers. The New Orleans Saints had appeared to had stumbled a bit during the beginning of the season, as they lost Drew Brees to a thumb injury for a few games, but his back up Teddy Bridgewater helped the Saints stay in the hunt and they eventually are back in the playoffs. You would have thought that the Los Angeles Rams would had been back at the dance again, but that was not going to happen in 2019, despite their winning record of 9-7. When you looked at the favorites that were going to be there at the end, you see the Indianapolis Colts who were hot favorites at 14-1 lost Andrew Luck a the beginning of the season because of retirement.  Colts ended up 7-9 and missed the playoffs.  The Patriots who are always the favorite, looked vulnerable during the last few games of the season, considering the 1st time in a while that they would have to host a wildcard game. Most of the season the Patriots were winning as they usually do, but kinks in the offensive armor started to show. Defenses started to get to Brady more than usual. Their loss today against the Dolphins, in Foxborough just an example of where they may be headed. They will host the wildcard game with the Tennessee Titans, this will be a game that we should pay attention too. The Patriots could be out by the end of next week. NFL Week 17

How about those Buffalo Bills! They managed to get a wild card spot this year again. Last year they lost to the Jaguars 10-3. This year they have the number 5 seed as a wildcard team. The Bills will be visiting the Houston Texans next week to see if they can advance. Houston a team that you look at in the beginning of the year and can almost count on them being in the playoff’s, will likely win this game next week. The year goes by and you look at an0ther team that started out slow and finished decently is the Seattle Seahawks. They were in tune to be the number one seed, but they lost to the 49ers in a great Sunday night game 26-21. The thing about this game was Seattle was in it all the way. It appeared as though they couldn’t stop the 49ers from walking down the field, but yet this team was in it all the way to the end. The Seahawks will be visiting the Philadelphia Eagles, next week in Philadelphia. Philadelphia is so banged up, but they managed to win that NFC East despite this. Considering that they are still banged up and the talent level is not there compared to the Seahawks, odds are the Seahawks may take another win in Philly this year. Green Bay returns to the playoffs again with a new coach this year in Mat LeFluer, and will be very interesting how the Packers fair in the playoffs as they get a bye and the home field advantage in the divisional round. The Saints have a 1st round bye and a bone to pick in these playoffs, considering how they were ousted last year. The Wildcard games will be something to watch.Philadelphia Eagles 2019 NFC East Champs Fan Gear New England Patriots 2019 AFC East Division Champs Gear
