NFL 2019 Week 15 – The season is drawing close to the end, and as we had expected the Baltimore Ravens are still playing extremely well. Thursday night football had the Ravens beating up on the New York Jets 42-21 and believe me it was even that close; the Jets scored 14 pts in the 4th quarter, mostly due to the Ravens putting in some subs probably. Lamar Jackson looked good as ever despite the rumors that he was questionable prior to the kickoff. Jackson threw for 225 yards but had 5 td’s  and managed to get pulled late in the 4th quarter for some rest. A lot of the commentators were spout off that fact that the Ravens had a big lead, and should pull him earlier than that.  The Ravens will look to clinch the AFC next week when they meet up with the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland.

Although the Patriots played well against a bottom feeding team known as the Cincinnati Bengals, it was tight during the 1st half of the game, but the Patriots defense helped open up the game and the Patriots won 34-13.  The Patriots need to win out and have Baltimore loose their last two games if they want to get home field advantage throughout the playoffs. That probably will not happen, considering the way the Ravens have been playing. A Raven’s win next week will have the Patriots trying to protect their number 2 spot in the AFC, not to mention that the Bills are hot on their trail with a record of 10-4 and are their opponent next week as well.

The Kansas City Chiefs are hot on the Patriots tail too, as they are also sporting a 10-4 record. The Chiefs took it to the Broncos 23-3 in Denver this past Sunday. The Chief will be facing the Bears on Sunday, and should be in a good situation to win that game in Chicago.

The Texans scrap with the Titans had the Texans winning 24-21. The Texans lead the AFC South over the Titans by one game, and need to continue their winning ways next week in order to clinch the AFC South.

Those Seahawks came back from that lost last week to the Rams and were able to beat the Carolina Panthers 30-24. The Seahawks now are in the number one spot for the NFC, as the San Francisco 49ers dropped one to the Atlanta Falcons 29-22. The 49ers who were touted as the top team in the NFC several weeks of the season; need to straighten up and fly right over the next 2 games and hope that the Seahawks drop the next 2 games. Right now, with the Saints breathing down their neck the Seahawks need to win out and hope for the Saints to drop one, as the Saints would have the tie breaker between them. Saints will play the Titans next week who also is a team trying to jockey for position in the playoffs. The Saints by the way beat the Colts tonight 17-0.  The 49ers will meet up with the Rams next week at home. The Rams are desperate right now to keep that wild card position and need to win this game against the 49ers.

Speaking of the Rams, they stunk up the place, and allowed Dallas to win a game against a over 500 team this season. Dallas had no luck in winning against great teams. The Cowboys beat the Rams in good fashion 44-21. This will lead up to the showdown in Philadelphia. Philly had a hard time with the Redskins, but manage to beat them 37-27.  Cowboys are playing in Philadelphia, and the Eagles have a grudge to even out as the Cowboys beat them earlier in the year in Arlington. Both teams are sporting a 7-7 record. Should the Eagles lose to them they are eliminated from getting to the playoffs. Should the Cowboys lose, they must win their last game and hope that the Eagles lose to the Giants on the final week of play. This would have them in a virtual tie, with the division going to Dallas because of conference win record.

Last but not least are the Green Bay Packers who also have a shot at being number 1 in the NFC should they win out and the 49ers and or Seahawks lose one of the last 2 games of the Season. The Packers beat the Bears 21-13. The Packers will meet up with the Minnesota Vikings next week in Minnesota with a chance to clinch the division. Minnesota is now 10-4 and could still have a shot at winning the NFC North should the Packers loose out and the Vikings win out. The Vikings won against the Los Angeles Chargers 39-10 in L.A.
