NFL 2019 Week 2-Moving slowly

NFL 2019 Week 2

NFL 2019 Week 2: I viewed the Philadelphia game and just said to myself, how in the hell do you have most of your receivers hurt? What kind of conditioning and medical staff do they have over there?  Philadelphia could have won this game still; if hadn’t been for an over zealous defense that wanted to blitz so badly they forgot about that little outlet pass that Ryan tossed to Jones for the go ahead touchdown. This was a strange game to watch, and remember that Philly had been beating Atlanta in close games always in the 4th quarter. This game was no different. Atlanta also had a beef with itself as they did not play well in week one; so getting on track at home was on the chart board for Atlanta, and they did perform.

New England continued their winning ways, by beating on the down trodden Miami Dolphins 43- 0.  They face the Jets next week. Look for them to be 3-0 after this game.

Quarterbacks going down. This week continued the carnage at the quarterback position. We 1st seen the Colts loose Luck to retirement, then Jacksonville looses Nick Foles, and the Jets Sam Darnold, and then this week we see the Saints loose Drew Brees to a thumb injury that will have him out for awhile. Then Big Ben Roethlisberger continued the trend and now is not expected to play this season at all.  Quarterbacks dropping like flies and no one still wants to touch, “take a knee Colin”. Regardless, the Colts were able to win over the Titans, the Steeler loose to the Seahawks who are starting to look strong. They seem to be mixing it up a little better with the offense with passing and rushing. The Rams took it to the Saints 27-9, no touchdowns for the Saints, uh you wonder.  The 49ers second week on the road was successful as they put it to the Bengals in good fashion 41-17.  Let’s see what this will look like next week for the 49ers 1st home game where you can almost expect them to come out this win against the Steelers-minus Roethlisberger easily. The Texans seem to be an odd group, when it comes to defense as they beat the Jaguars-Foles in an low scoring affair 13-12.  The Packers as expected won against the Vikings in the Packers home opener 21-16. This NFC North Division will be a tough division if not the toughest in the NFL. Chicago won last minute over the Broncos 16-14. The Lions redeemed themselves from the tie they had last week in beating the Chargers 13-10. How good are the Buffalo Bills? We will not know until they play somebody. They get the Bengals next week. What do you think?  Me thinks the Ravens will run away with the AFC north, unless Cleveland can show out. By the way the Browns brought decimation against the Jets tonight. Will Cleveland be for real this year? Let’s see they play the Rams next week on Sunday night? This is Cleveland’s chance to showcase what they got, although the Rams being on the road, expect for the Rams to win this one. The Kansas City Chiefs as expected beat up on the Raiders. Look next week the Chiefs face off with the Ravens, that should be a great game. The Ravens won over the Cardinals this week 23-17.  Then we had the Thursday night game that had the Buccaneers winning over the, “Cam not himself Panthers”, 20-14. Last but not least those Cowboys won over the Redskins in Washington 31-21. To hear the game on the tube, you could had sworn they were playing in Dallas. Those Cowboys are looking really great right now, can they continue to win? They play the Dolphins next week. How about they call it a bye week and give it to the Cowboys? It’s a little early but it appears as though some of these teams are still playing in the pre-season mode. Let’s see what happens next week as to who is consistent.
