NFL 2020- Week 3-Strange Season

NFL 2020- Week 3  It’s been a strange season, with little to no fans in the stands when watching professional football.  The games are pretty competitive, but that live fan audience missing has a lot to be considered. NFL 2020- Week 3.

Watched some of the games this weeks, and the one that I really liked was the Cowboys vs. Seahawks. You know both teams are pretty talented and watching Zak Prescott and Russell Wilson go at it was entertaining!  The final score on this game was 38-31 Seahawks. In these games home field only matters because one team had to travel. Other than that the added pressure that fans generate when the road teams are operating is just not there. Wilson threw for 5 touchdowns, and had a QBR of 139. Zak threw for 3 touchdowns and had a QBR of 103. You could say that the Cowboys could not get off the snide for running the football, as Elliot had a paltry 34 yds out of 14 carries. Seattle’s defense did a excellent job of stopping the run. The Cowboys were limited to a mere 64 yds rushing for the game. When this happens, you put your quarterback at a higher risk of turning the ball over as he has to throw more than usual. There was a moment there that Dallas had a 1 pt lead, but that didn’t last long, as Wilson hit Metcalf with a less than 2 minutes left with a 29 yd Touchdown pass and to boot a 2 pt conversion. Dallas was driving down the field afterwards, only to stall with a interception with seconds to go. The Seahawks take their 3-0 record on the road next week to meet up with the Dolphins. The Cowboys will go back home and play the Cleveland Browns next week. NFL 2020- Week 3.

Now I go to my team the Eagles, who are looking for a win to break into the season. Yes they are at home, but I guess it doesn’t matter during these times of COVID. You know had the Eagles fans been there, they would had probably won big against the Bengals, as the Philadelphia fans are viscous and intimidating. Well that being said, the best the Eagles could do is muster up a tie game. The Defense looked good at times, but for the most part, they still are sucking wind. Sustaining drives on the offense is still a mystery. The best scenario is that the offense stay on the field by eating up time, and eventually scoring, giving the defense something to fight for. Although the Eagles had the ball for 37 minutes in this game vs. 32 for the Bengals, the Eagles downfall was the 2 interceptions that Wentz threw. Eagles ability to score a touch down, in the red zone didn’t help their cause at all. We are probably getting closer and closer to the point that they may have to put in the backup to change things around. Folks are still screaming Foles name.  Look to see if Philly can turn it around in the bay area next week. Philly has been 6-2 in their last 8 meetings, but overall the 49ers own the series 19-13-1

Speaking of Foles, how about this guy? He goes in and scores against Atlanta of course, 3 touchdowns in the 4 th quarter. Is this a phenomena or is this typical of the Falcons who just gives up big leads to the opponent on a regular basis. Chicago over the Falcons 30-26.

Take a look at the standings right now. You have the expected Chiefs at 3-0, and also the Steelers, the Titans, and the Bills in the AFC, and you have the Seahawks and the Packers at 3-0./NFL 2020- Week 3/, I got to say watch out for the Packers this year.

The season is young, and it will unfold every week. Right now the Chiefs are the favorite to win it all. The worst division looks like it will be the NFC East, as Washington leads their group with a 1-2 record. Atlanta continues to blow games with big leagues; what is that all about? Will they continue this trend? Remember last year the Falcons won 6 out of 8 games toward the end of the season, thwarting that terrible start of winning only 1 out of the 8 during the first 8 games last year.
